Refugees at Home is proud to have been shortlisted for the Community Integration Awards – Grassroots

The Judges’ summary was:

The scale of this project was considered to be impressive given the short time it has been operating and the few resources available. The two way relationship of host and guest clearly demonstrated the impact of integration at a local level with examples of wide shared cultural understanding.

Judges also discussed that it would have been helpful to understand the involvement of refugees and migrants in the development of the project and ongoing project considerations such as transition into longer term accommodation given that this would be critical for a person’s continued ability to engage in local life.
