Our host, Dr Rosie, recently spoke to Metro UK about her experiences of hosting through Refugees at Home, and how she and Abdil are getting on living together during the pandemic. As an NHS doctor, we are not only thankful to Rosie for hosting, but for all that she is doing on the frontline.
‘I have done extra shifts but have only been able to because Abdul is here: I have two dogs, Benjy and Morag, who wouldn’t have been walked or fed without him. Morag spent three years in kennels before I rescued her so she needs a lot of company, and fortunately Abdil gets on really well with both of them.’
